Aug 29, 2024 9:04 AM

03:09 PM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is in discussions with Australian buy-now-pay-later company Zip to integrate its installment-payments product in the US, the Wall Street Journal reported late Monday, citing Zip CEO Cynthia Scott.

Merchants using Stripe services can already offer Zip offerings to customers. Zip is looking for so-called capital-light propositions, while Apple ( AAPL ) recent stopped offering BNPL through Apple Pay Later. But, the iPhone maker also said it is looking to offer installment options through other providers.

Apple ( AAPL ) and Zip did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
