08:02 AM EDT, 05/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Shipments of smartphones, including Apple ( AAPL ) iPhones, from China to the US have fallen to their lowest levels in 14 years, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing detailed customs data.
Smartphone shipments dropped 72% to just under $700 million in April, compared with an overall 21% slide in Chinese exports to the US, according to the report.
In 2024, the top three US imports from China were smartphones, laptops, and lithium-ion batteries, the news outlet reported.
Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
