Market Chatter: Apple Loses Appeal Over Antitrust Regulation in Germany
Mar 18, 2025 4:53 AM

07:15 AM EDT, 03/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) lost an appeal of a decision that opens the company up to tighter German antitrust controls, Reuters reported Tuesday.

Germany's Federal Court of Justice let stand a 2023 designation of Apple ( AAPL ) as a "company of paramount cross-market significance for competition," Reuters reported.

The ruling subjects Apple ( AAPL ) to the same possible controls already imposed on Alphabet (GOOGL, GOOG) and Meta Platforms ( META ) , which are subject to measures restricting their market dominance, Reuters said.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
