07:15 AM EDT, 07/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) supplier Foxconn Technology Group has instructed hundreds of Chinese engineers and technicians to return home from its iPhone factories in India, dealing a setback to Apple's ( AAPL ) plans to ramp up production in the country, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The move began about two months ago and over 300 Chinese workers have left, according to the report. Mostly support staff from Taiwan have remained in India, Bloomberg said.
