Market Chatter: Apple Tests Blood-Sugar App to Advance Health Products
Nov 3, 2024 11:48 AM

01:56 PM EDT, 10/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) tested a blood-sugar app on select employees earlier in 2024 as it seeks to further advance its health care offerings, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The company has no plans to roll out the app that aims to help those with prediabetes manage food intake and make changes to their lifestyle, according to the report.

But the technology may be integrated into other health products that it is developing, including a noninvasive glucose tracker, the report said.

Apple ( AAPL ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
