06:15 AM EDT, 05/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) plans to introduce a standalone gaming app across its devices, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The app will debut during Apple's ( AAPL ) Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9 and arrive just days after Nintendo's expected Switch 2 launch, the report said.

It will be preinstalled on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV and function as a central hub for achievements, leaderboards, and in-game communication, the report added.

The new software will replace the underused Game Center and include access to the App Store's gaming section, Apple Arcade, and curated editorial content, the report said.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
