Market Chatter: Apple to Open Up AI Models to Third-Party Developers
May 26, 2025 11:02 AM

12:19 PM EDT, 05/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is planning to open up its artificial intelligence models to third-party developers with the hope that they will be used to create new applications, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

The company plans to make an announcement to that effect at its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

Developers will get access to the same large language models that Apple ( AAPL ) uses to power Apple Intelligence, starting with those that run directly on its devices rather than ones that require powerful cloud servers, according to the report.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
