06:40 AM EDT, 06/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) will release a new iOS native app called Passwords that will generate and keep track of login credentials, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The app is expected to be introduced on Monday at Apple's ( AAPL ) Worldwide Developers Conference and will be part of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15, the report said.

Similar to other password management apps like 1Password and LastPass, the new app will sync passwords and account information across devices, according to the report. It will also allow importing passwords from rival apps, Bloomberg said.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
