08:31 AM EDT, 06/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple's ( AAPL ) iPhone shipments in China rose 40% in May, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

Foreign smartphones' figure stood for just more than five million units of the total, the report said.

Smartphone shipments to the country also jumped over 13%, the report added.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
