11:26 AM EDT, 10/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ASML Holding ( ASML ) Chief Executive Christophe Fouquet expects the US to increase the pressure to further restrict the sale of semiconductor technology to China, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing an interview with the company's CEO.

Fouquet said that a significant portion of ASML's ( ASML ) business with China revolves around mature technology that poses fewer national security risks and added that the current restrictions have put China 10 to 15 years behind in advanced technology, according to the news outlet.
