Apr 4, 2024 10:27 AM

01:04 PM EDT, 04/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ASML Holding ( ASML ) will be under pressure on servicing contracts in China as the Biden administration is expected to compel the Dutch government next week to influence the company, Reuters reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Alan Estevez, Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security at the US Department of Commerce, plans to meet Dutch government officials and ASML ( ASML ) representatives next Monday. ASML's ( ASML ) servicing contracts in China are thought to be among the agenda, the sources told the publication. The Dutch Foreign Ministry confirmed the upcoming meeting, Reuters said.

The US government may also ask to restrict certain Chinese companies from getting Dutch equipment, according to the report.

ASML ( ASML ), Dutch Foreign Ministry and US Department of Commerce did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
