07:57 AM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aspen Insurance ( AHL ) , a specialty insurer owned by Apollo Global Management ( APO ) , is in the final stages of talks to be acquired by Japanese insurance group Sompo Holdings for $3.4 billion, Nikkei Asia reported Wednesday.

Shares of Aspen were up 10% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
