03:27 PM EDT, 05/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Azul ( AZUL ) and its creditors are considering options, including a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, as the Brazilian airlines struggles financially, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The talks are underway, and no final decision has been made, the report said.

Azul ( AZUL ) is trying to raise more funds from bondholders after recently launching a secondary share offering to improve its financial position, Bloomberg reported.

Azul ( AZUL ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Shares of the company fell 7.6% in recent trading Thursday.
