Market Chatter: Azul, GOL See No Antitrust Hurdles in Brazil Over Codeshare Agreement

02:11 PM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Azul ( AZUL ) and GOL airlines do not foresee any antitrust hurdles in Brazil regarding their new codeshare agreement, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing Azul ( AZUL ) Chief Executive John Rodgerson.

The carriers have informed Brazil's antitrust regulator CADE of the agreement, he reportedly told Reuters in an interview.

"There is no overlapping routes, no pricing coordination. So we don't see problems," Rodgerson was quoted as saying.

CADE declined MT Newswires' request for comment. Azul ( AZUL ) and GOL did not immediately reply to requests for comment.

Shares of Azul ( AZUL ) were down 4% in recent trading.
