Market Chatter: Baidu to Make Search Engine More AI-Friendly
Jul 2, 2025 3:29 AM

06:00 AM EDT, 07/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Baidu (BIDU) is implementing new AI features and a voice function into its search engine, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing a company press conference.

According to the report, the Chinese internet company said it wants to make its mobile app more like an AI chatbot that can help users with writing, drawing and travel planning.

"Baidu search has to change, and we are voluntarily looking for changes," Bloomberg quoted Search Engine Chief Zhao Shiqi as saying. "We don't intend to beat others, we need to beat our former self."

Baidu did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
