09:41 AM EDT, 06/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria ( BBVA ) is planning to open a digital consumer bank in Germany, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company is currently carrying out a feasibility study and is appointing a team that would oversee the new unit, the report said.

Banco Bilbao did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
