Market Chatter: Bank of America's CEO Says Banking Industry to Adopt Crypto Payments if Regulators Permit
Jan 21, 2025 8:01 AM

10:34 AM EST, 01/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bank of America (BAC) Chief Executive Brian Moynihan said the banking industry will adopt crypto payments if regulators allow it, CNBC reported Tuesday.

CNBC said that in an interview with Moynihan at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, it asked about how banks' approach to crypto could change amid President Donald Trump's enthusiasm for digital currencies.

"If the rules come in and make it a real thing that you can actually do business with, you'll find that the banking system will come in hard on the transactional side of it," CNBC quoted Moynihan as saying in the interview.
