12:17 PM EDT, 07/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Barrick Mining ( B ) is in advanced talks to sell its Hemlo gold mine in Ontario, Canada, to Discovery Silver, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

Discovery Silver is in the final stages of the sale process, which Barrick started in April, the report said, adding there is no guarantee the deal will happen.

"We do not comment on market speculation," Barrick Mining ( B ) told MT Newswires, while Discovery Silver didn't immediately reply to a request for comment.

Shares of Barrick Mining ( B ) were 1.9% down in recent trading Tuesday.
