09:07 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Barrick Mining's ( B ) employees detained in Mali since November were denied an appeal for conditional release by a court, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.
The employees were arrested on allegations of money laundering and financing of terrorism, including tax-related offenses and other unspecified accusations, according to the report.
Barrick Mining ( B ) and Mali are currently engaged in a dispute after the country's government seized gold stocks from the company's subsidiaries and forced it to temporarily suspend operations.
Barrick Mining ( B ) did not immediately respond to an MT Newswires request for comment.
