08:34 AM EDT, 07/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) has divested another block of shares in BYD, reducing its stake in the Chinese automaker to 4.94% from 5.06%, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing a Hong Kong exchange filing.

Falling below the 5% threshold means Berkshire Hathaway is no longer required to disclose further sales or if it exits its position entirely, the report said.

Berkshire Hathaway and BYD did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
