06:11 AM EDT, 06/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BHP's (BHP) workers at Port Hedland operations in Western Australia have voted in favor of strike action as negotiations over a new labor agreement continue, Reuters reported Thursday.
All of the Electrical Trades Union participating members supported work stoppages ranging from 30 minutes to 24 hours, which could begin within days, the report said.
Members of the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union also voted in favor of taking strike action, with 89.4% backing the move, the report said.
The unions workers are seeking improved pay and working conditions after months of negotiations with BHP, the report added.
BHP did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
