Market Chatter: BlackRock Paused Fundraising for Newest Asian Private Credit Fund

04:54 AM EDT, 08/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BlackRock ( BLK ) stopped fundraising for its latest Asian private credit strategy fund earlier this year, Bloomberg reported Sunday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The pause followed BlackRock's ( BLK ) December announcement of its acquisition of HPS Investment Partners, a deal that closed in early July, according to the report.

BlackRock ( BLK ) was targeting $1 billion for the private credit fund, the report said.

The company did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
