09:59 AM EDT, 06/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BlackRock ( BLK ) is planning to expand access to its private-market investment products for individual investors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing an interview with Fabio Osta, head of a team for BlackRock's ( BLK ) EMEA wealth unit.
The asset manager is planning to collaborate with digital investment platforms and initiate a hiring drive in the EMEA region to broaden retail access to private assets, Osta told Bloomberg.
The firm has lowered investment minimums to 10,000 euros ($11,350) following regulatory changes. For instance, customers of the digital investment platform Scalable Capital in Germany, Austria and Italy can now access BlackRock's ( BLK ) evergreen private equity fund via a smartphone app, the report said.
