01:17 PM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Blackstone (BX) is exploring a sale of Clarion Events, which could be valued at up to 2 billion British pounds ($2.6 billion), Reuters reported Tuesday, citing three people familiar with the matter.

Blackstone held informal discussions with private equity funds such as CVC Capital Partners and KKR (KKR), which might be interested in acquiring Clarion Events, but Blackstone may only initiate a bidding process in early 2025 and no final decision has been made, Reuters reported, citing the people.

Blackstone, Clarion and KKR declined to comment to Reuters, while CVC did not immediately respond to a comment request, the report said.

Blackstone and CVC declined to comment to MT Newswires, while Clarion and KKR didn't immediately respond.
