Market Chatter: Blackstone Seeks to Extend, Expand Loan to Acquire Interplex

07:06 AM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Blackstone (BX) is in discussions with creditors to amend and extend its $957 million loan to finance the acquisition of Singapore-based engineering firm Interplex, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The private equity firm is seeking to extend the loan by five years beyond its 2027 maturity and increase it to as much as $997 million, the report said.

The negotiations are ongoing and the deal could change, the report said.

Blackstone did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
