04:01 PM EDT, 09/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing's ( BA ) and Airbus' aircraft-delivery delays are spurring concerns among air-cargo operators, whose fleets are aging, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing the operators.
Boeing ( BA ) has pushed back the deliveries of its 777-8F cargo aircraft to 2028 from 2027, and Airbus is delaying A350 freighter aircraft to H2 2027 from 2026 amid supply chain constraints, the report said.
Michael Steen, chief executive officer of Atlas Air, said that of the 630 large wide-body freighters in operation around the world, about 150 are approaching retirement, the report said.
Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
