02:29 PM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) Chair Lawrence Kellner will lead a listening tour of board members starting next week to meet with some of the company's largest customers to discuss the company's ongoing 737 Max jetliner safety and production issues, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Kellner will be joined by two to three directors in each of the meetings with chiefs of US and international airlines, the sources reportedly said.

Boeing ( BA ) Chief Executive Dave Calhoun will participate in the sessions, Bloomberg reported, citing the sources. An unnamed company official was quoted as saying Calhoun supports the meetings.

The Wall Street Journal earlier in the day reported that US airline heads had requested to meet with Boeing's ( BA ) board.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
