Market Chatter: Boeing Company Sees Indian, South Asian Airlines Adding 2,835 Jets Over 20 Years

05:51 AM EST, 02/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) expects Indian and South Asian airlines to add 2,835 commercial aircraft to their fleet over the next 20 years, Reuters reported Thursday, citing the US plane maker.

The company estimated that carriers in the two regions will take delivery of 2,445 single-aisle aircraft and 370 widebody aircraft.

The anticipated addition represents a four-fold increase over current levels, according to the report.

Boeing's ( BA ) previous rolling 20-year market forecast, issued last year, was for 2,705 jets, Reuters said.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
