01:04 PM EDT, 10/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is considering selling its space business, including the Starliner space vehicle and operations that support the International Space Station, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

The effort is at an early stage and may not result in a deal, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

The sale would be part of Boeing ( BA ) Chief Executive Kelly Ortberg's strategy to curb financial losses. Ortberg, who assumed the role in August, is weighing asset sales and has said virtually all is on the table, except the core commercial and defense businesses, the report said.
