12:29 PM EST, 11/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is considering a sale of its navigation unit Jeppesen and has hired an adviser to assist with the potential sale, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Jeppesen, a provider of interactive flight plans, could fetch at least $6 billion and attract interest from private equity firms, among others, the report said.

The sale would help Boeing ( BA ) whittle down its $58 billion debt, Bloomberg reported. A sale process for the unit could begin as soon as H1 2025, according to Bloomberg.

The report cautioned that a sale is not guaranteed as Boeing ( BA ) may opt to hold onto the business instead.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
