08:59 AM EDT, 05/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is facing challenges delivering its 787 Dreamliner because of difficulty securing a key part previously produced in Russia, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
Boeing's ( BA ) inability to secure enough heat exchangers, an important but basic part that is like a radiator, in part led the aircraft maker to warn investors that it won't deliver as many Dreamliner jets as anticipated this year, the Journal reported.
RTX (RX), the supplier of the 787's heat exchanger, has been unable to meet Boeing's ( BA ) demand for the part since moving its production outside of Russia after the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, according to the report.
Boeing ( BA ) and RTX did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
