Mar 21, 2025 9:06 AM

11:33 AM EDT, 03/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) and GE Aerospace (GE) are set to finalize a $32.7 billion agreement with Korean Air for new aircraft and engines, Reuters reported Friday, citing South Korea's industry ministry during a US visit aimed at strengthening ties.

If finalized, the aircraft deal would be valued at $24.9 billion, while an order for eight spare GE engines, with options for two more, and maintenance services would be valued at $7.8 billion, the report said.

Korean Air signed a memorandum of understanding last year for its plan to purchase 20 Boeing 777-9 and 20 Boeing 787-10 aircraft, with an option for 10 more.

Korean Air, Boeing ( BA ), and GE Aerospace didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
