04:10 AM EDT, 05/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) will supply 200 aircraft, engines and spare parts to China under a newly confirmed deal that Beijing said reflects expanding aviation cooperation with the US, CNBC reported Wednesday, citing to a statement from China's Commerce Ministry.
The agreement, first disclosed by US President Donald Trump last week, represents China's first significant order from Boeing ( BA ) since 2017 and has fueled expectations among Washington state officials for additional demand from Chinese airlines, the report said.
The ministry said the agreement follows consensus reached by both countries' leaders and is based on commercial principles and domestic demand for air transport growth, CNBC added.
Boeing ( BA ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
