05:59 AM EDT, 09/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is planning a new single-aisle airplane that would succeed the 737 MAX, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Earlier this year, Chief Executive Kelly Ortberg met with officials from Rolls-Royce (RR) in the UK, two of the people told the WSJ, where they discussed a new engine for the aircraft.
This new aircraft is in early-stage development, and plans are still taking shape, some of the people told the WSJ.
Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to an out-of-office hours request for comment from MTNewswires.
