06:21 AM EDT, 09/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is alerting its suppliers that it is postponing a production output goal for its 737 MAX by six months, Reuters reported Monday, citing three unnamed industry sources.
The company had previously aimed in its master schedule for suppliers to produce 42 Max jets per month by this month, but now aims to reach that threshold in March, Reuters reported.
Boeing's ( BA ) official MAX production target of 38 jets per month by the end of the year remains unchanged, according to the report.
Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
"On the master schedule, we continue to make adjustments as needed," Boeing ( BA ) Chief Financial Officer Brian West said in a July call with analysts.
