Market Chatter: Boeing Resumes Contract Talks With Defense Union

02:49 PM EDT, 07/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) resumed contract talks with leaders of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 837 union after members rejected an initial offer and voted to strike, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

The negotiations with the union representing about 3,200 factory workers in St. Louis, Missouri, are taking place as the two sides are in a "cooling off" period, according to the report.

Boeing ( BA ) is slated to commence negotiations with its engineers union in early 2026, the report said.

Boeing ( BA ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
