05:14 AM EST, 01/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) still has more work to do to improve its work culture and improve its safety standards a year after a door panel flew off one of its 737 MAX 9 planes, outgoing US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg told Reuters in an interview published Monday.
"There were real deficiencies ... there is much more to do," Reuters quoted Buttigieg as saying. "I think the culture change at Boeing ( BA ) is something that is a real work in progress and the only way to fully assess it will be to see they can consistently improve results."
Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
