04:01 AM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) and its biggest union will continue contract negotiations on Tuesday to resolve a strike involving about 33,000 West Coast factory workers, Reuters reported Monday.
"Although we met with Boeing ( BA ) and federal mediators all day, there was no meaningful movement to report. We will be back at it tomorrow," Reuters quoted The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers as saying.
The union is pushing for a 40% pay increase over four years and the reinstatement of a defined-benefit pension that was lost in a previous contract, according to the report.
Boeing ( BA ) and the union did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
