03:05 PM EDT, 04/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BP (BP) is nearing a deal to offload a portion of its oil and gas assets in Trinidad and Tobago to Anglo-French oil company Perenco, Reuters reported Monday, citing three people familiar with the discussions.
The assets, including the Amherstia, Cashima, and Immortelle fields, have seen production decline from nearly 2 billion cubic feet per day in 2004 to just under 200 million cubic feet per day, according to the report.
BP and Perenco did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
