08:37 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BP's (BP) chartered tanker has left a port run by Indian refiner Nayara Energy without loading, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing five unnamed industry sources and shipping data from the London Stock Exchange Group.
The vessel Talara was supposed to loan 60,000 metric tons of ultra-low sulphur diesel on Monday at Nayara's Vadinar point in Western India, with the cargo bound for Africa, LSEG data showed, according to Reuters.
The Talara did not load the cargo after the EU imposed the sanctions, Reuters reported, citing a source.
Meanwhile, two sources said BP subsequently released the ship, making it available for charter within India or the Middle East region.
BP did not immediately respond to an MT Newswires request for comment.
