11:45 AM EDT, 08/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bumble (BMBL) CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd is developing a new, artificial intelligence-powered matchmaking app, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
She is working with a team to program a matchmaking AI based on consultations with psychologists and relationship counselors, primarily focusing on the science of attachment theory, according to the news outlet.
The new app will be created as a large language model and help users build a dating profile depending on their responses about past relationship experiences, according to The Journal
The company is planning to release a beta version of the app, separate from the existing Bumble, to select users this fall. The monetization strategy has yet to be determined, and users might have to pay for each match, according to the report.
Bumble did not immediately reply to an MT Newswires request for comment.
