01:39 PM EDT, 06/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bunge (BG) won approval from Chinese antitrust authorities for its $8.2 billion acquisition of Viterra, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing an emailed statement from Bunge.

Bunge has secured key approvals from the EU and Canada, and while Argentina's ruling is pending, antitrust laws allow the deal to proceed with potential remedies later, the report said.

The deal is expected to close by July 2, Bunge said, according to the report.

Bunge shares rose 6.2% in recent trading Friday.
