Market Chatter: Bunge's $8 Billion Viterra Take Over at Risk of Being Delayed

01:32 PM EDT, 07/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bunge's (BG) $8 billion acquisition of Viterra could be delayed, as Canada, China and the European Union have not yet approved the deal, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The deal is unlikely to get done by Bunge's mid-2024 target. The delay is because of antitrust concerns in various countries and the deal is now expected to close by the end of the year, one of the people told Bloomberg.
