02:37 PM EDT, 10/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Burford Capital ( BUR ) shares fell 10% on Wednesday after US appellate judges reportedly questioned whether a $16.1 billion case against Argentina over its 2012 seizure of YPF belongs in US courts.

Two judges on the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals panel in Manhattan raised doubts as Argentina argued the dispute should be tried at home, Reuters reported.

Burford Capital ( BUR ), which funded much of the litigation and stands to gain billions if the award is upheld, the report noted.

Burford Capital ( BUR ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
