02:04 PM EDT, 04/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Canadian government plans to restrict private equity investments in the residential real estate market as part of proposed housing policy reforms, Dow Jones reported Friday.

The new measures will be formally presented in next week's annual budget plan, the report said.

The office of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
