The Canada Industrial Relations Board imposed a binding arbitration on Canadian National Railway ( CNI ) and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference on Saturday and ordered that no further labor stoppage, including a strike or lockout, can happen during the process.
Canadian Pacific Kansas City ( CP ) traffic was at 12% of the normal volume on Sunday and unionized workers resumed work on Monday following a brief lockout, according to the report.
Canadian National Railway ( CNI ), Canadian Pacific Kansas City ( CP ) and Teamsters Canada did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
