02:58 PM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Capital One Financial ( COF ) won a court order that pauses the evidence-exchange process in a lawsuit that accuses the bank of closing the accounts of the Trump Organization for political reasons, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing the ruling in Miami federal court from US Magistrate Judge Enjolique Lett.

Capital One moved to dismiss the suit earlier in the month, and the ruling suspends the exchange of evidence until after the court decides whether to dismiss the suit, according to the report.

The Trump Organization has until Friday to respond to the motion to dismiss the suit, the report said.

The Trump Organization did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Capital One shares were up 1.8% in recent afternoon trading.
