Market Chatter: Carlyle Group Among Final Bidders for HgCapital's smartTrade Technologies

06:01 AM EST, 02/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Carlyle Group ( CG ) is among the shortlisted bidders for HgCapital's smartTrade Technologies, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

Sources told Bloomberg that Thoma Bravo and TA Associates also made it to the final round of bidding. According to the report, current offers value smartTrade Technologies at 550 million euros ($575.7 million) to 600 million euros.

Negotiations are ongoing and HgCapital aims to choose a buyer by late March, Bloomberg's sources said.

Carlyle Group ( CG ), HgCapital, Thoma Bravo, and TA Associates did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
