10:11 AM EDT, 09/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Carlyle Group ( CG ) and Macquarie Group held talks about Macquarie acquiring Carlyle, but those discussions fizzled out this summer, Semafor reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Carlyle did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
