01:13 PM EST, 11/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Carlyle Group ( CG ) is exploring ways to buy foreign assets from Lukoil, a Russian oil major, Reuters reported Thursday, citing three sources familiar with the situation.

The firm is at an early stage of discussions, one source said, according to the news outlet.

Carlyle didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
